Local Finds
Local Finds is a coming-soon community app for discovering and sharing useful items nearby. The app is still in development, and this policy will be updated before launch with its final information-handling details.
If Local Finds later asks for location access, it will explain why at the time and you will be able to manage that permission in your device settings.
Tube & Rail Delay Tracker
Tube & Rail Delay Tracker has its own app privacy policy, covering journey tracking, optional location, account sign-in, iCloud synchronisation and alerts.
The MateTech website
You can browse this public website and its product pages without creating an account. These pages are designed to provide information about MateTech and its apps.
Standard technical information may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver the website securely, prevent abuse and diagnose faults. This can include an IP address, browser type, requested page and time of access.
When you contact us
If you email MateTech, we receive the information you choose to include, your email address and normal message metadata. We use it to answer your question, provide support and keep an appropriate record of the conversation.
Please avoid sending highly sensitive personal information by email unless it is necessary.
Our apps
MateTech apps, including Local Finds, Pocket Tools and UK Mate, may process information you enter so their requested features work. Depending on the features you use, this can include account and profile details, plans, tasks, notes, events, work shifts, bills and budgets, travel information, selected documents or images, notification preferences and recovery metadata.
App information is stored on your device and, when you enable or use syncing, in the private cloud services connected to the app. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Features that access photos, files, calendars or reminders do so only after you choose the feature and grant the relevant system permission. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
Storage, recovery and deletion
We keep app information while it is needed to provide the service or until you delete it. Local recovery snapshots may be retained on your device to help recover missing information after an update, migration or sync problem. Recovery scans do not automatically replace current data.
You can delete individual content in the app. If the app offers account deletion, using it removes the account and associated service data that MateTech controls, subject to short operational delays and any records we must retain for legal or security reasons. Removing an app from a device does not necessarily delete information already stored in iCloud or another connected service.
Your choices and questions
You can ask what personal information MateTech holds about you, request a correction or deletion where applicable, withdraw optional permissions, or raise a concern about how information has been used.
Email support@matetech.uk. Include the app name and write “Privacy” in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our website, apps or privacy practices change. The date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
