Transport information and journeys
Browsing train information does not require a passenger account. Requests for line, station and route information use official transport data services, which receive normal technical request information.
Favourites, selected trains, station progress and journey notes are stored on your device. Optional iCloud features use your Apple account when enabled. The app never asks for Oyster, operator, bank or payment-card passwords.
Optional location
Location is optional. With permission, it can help show nearby stations and assist active journey progress. Station matching is handled on device where possible, and MateTech does not maintain a raw GPS-trail database.
You can stop an active journey or change the app’s location permission in iOS Settings at any time.
Accounts, alerts and providers
Optional sign-in may use Apple, Google or Firebase Authentication. Requested alerts may use Apple Push Notification service and a notification token. Apple provides iCloud and Maps; Google provides authentication, consent and selected advertising services; Cloudflare hosts MateTech web services.
MateTech does not sell personal information.
Advertising and consent
Google banner advertising may appear on selected non-live screens. Ads are not placed over active journeys or live line tracking. Where required, a consent screen records your choices before advertising is requested.
The app does not deliberately send Google your selected stations, saved route or journey history for advertising. Core journey features continue to work if optional advertising consent is refused.
Retention, deletion and rights
Local journey records remain until you delete them or remove the app, subject to device backups. Optional cloud copies have separate controls and lifecycles.
You may ask for access, correction or deletion of information MateTech controls. Email support with “Tube & Rail Delay Tracker privacy” in the subject.
Contact and policy changes
Email support@matetech.uk for privacy questions. We may verify identity before acting on a request. This page will be updated when the app or its data practices change.
